RoofXtender is an innovative “roof-maintenance” program from Nelson Building Services Inc. that is designed to maximize the life of your commercial, residential or institutional roof. Under the program, positive steps are taken to enhance the life of your roof. Rather than react to problems as they develop, RoofXtender helps prolong the life of your roof.

Through RoofXtender, Nelson will design and develop a professional roof-maintenance program that will help prevent costly roof repairs or premature replacement.

All roofing systems have a finite life and eventually must be replaced. Regular service and maintenance on your roof is essential to achieving maximum life expectancy. If roof maintenance is neglected over time, the costs for roof repair or replacement can be substantial – don’t wait until it’s too late!

Under this program, we will provide regular maintenance on your roof — including timely repair on all defects. Nelson’s RoofXtender can help you add years to the life of your roof — even if we didn’t originally install it!

The innovative RoofXtender roof-maintenance program includes:

  • Annual or semi-annual inspection.Visual inspections are used to determine the maintenance work necessary to preserve the roof’s viability Nelson will develop scaled roof plans, create a database charting the location, type and repair of each defect, and provide long-range budgeting.
  • Leak Indicator Test Nelson uses a state-of-the-art infrared thermography test to determine the extent of a leak. Electric Capacitance Test. Once the leak is detected, Nelson follows up with a low-voltage electric current test to determine the extent of a leak.
  • Leak Evaluation and Repair Program. After a detailed evaluation of the roof condition is complete, Nelson develops a customized repair schedule designed to minimize N E L S O N damage and keep the roof in excellent condition.
